What 'Arkham Knight' gets right... and what it doesn't

There are an array of similarities between the upcoming Gotham Knights and Batman: Arkham Knight. Early trailers’ combat style, environment, characters, and soundtrack reveal a new adventure for Batman’s prodigies. With Gotham Knights set to arrive next year, I thought it would be interesting to highlight what its predecessor gets right following Batman: Arkham City and what it doesn’t.
An array of villains:

Arkham Knight brings back familiar faces like Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin), Two-Face, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and more but attempts to set the bar higher with new villains.
Besides the obvious title, villains like Man-Bat and Professor Pyg are introduced but lack little backstory and seem irrelevant compared to the overall plot.
Arkham City also had several faces, but all side missions seemed connected in some way as everyone was trapped in the government-funded prison.
A new face:

Scarecrow returns to Gotham City after taking a brief hiatus in Arkham City.
Although we’re never told what happened to his face, it’s assumed his run-in with Killer Croc in Batman: Arkham Asylum did a number on the previous psychiatrist.
His appearance is more menacing, almost skeleton-like with a change of voice.
A stellar soundtrack:

It’s undeniable Arkham Knight gets its soundtrack right.
Like previous titles, the sound is menacing, but this time seems far darker and representative of what’s at stake this time around.
Friends in high places:

Unlike its predecessors, Arkham Knight allows players the chance to experience crimefighting as Batman’s sidekicks Robin and Nightwing. (Not including DLC Content).
Whereas Batman wanted no help stopping the clown prince of crime in previous adventures, Scarecrow and Arkham Knight’s forces vastly outnumber the caped crusader even with his revamped batmobile/tank.
As Batman continues to track down Scarecrow and uncover the Arkham Knight’s identity, Robin assists in taking down more than a thug or two. Additionally, in separate missions, Batman tracks Penguin’s weapon caches with the help of Nightwing, who Cobblepot later captures.
While pummeling enemies with Batman’s fist and feet is fun, using Robin’s collapsible bo staff and Nightwing’s escrima sticks is a nice change from a standard approach.
